Ingredients:
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups chocolate chips
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
3. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, until fully incorporated.
4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
5. Fold in the chocolate chips.
6. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
7. Bake in the preheated oven for 9 to 11 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
8. Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
