A delicious festive bread full of flavor, perfect for the holiday table. Mix rye flour and seeds, and enjoy fresh! Preparation Time: 2 hours
Serving Size: 10 slices
Ingredients:
- 1 tsp sunflower or pumpkin seeds - 0.5 tsp salt
- 2 tsp syrup
- 2 tsp orange peel
- 1.5 dl anise and/or fennel seeds
- 1.5 dl coarse rye flour
- 100 g yeast
- 1 dl beer malt
- 2 dl bread flour
- 3 dl boiling water
For brushing:
- Water and diluted syrup For topping:

1. Whisk the rye flour and beer malt into a bowl with the boiling water. 2. Add salt, syrup, orange peel, and seeds to the dough.
3. Crumble the yeast into the mixture and mix well.
4. Add the bread flour and knead until the dough is smooth.
5. Let the dough rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.
6. Shape the dough into a loaf and place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
7. Brush the loaf with the diluted syrup and sprinkle seeds on top.
8. Allow the bread to rise for another 30 minutes.
9. Bake the bread at 200°C (392°F) for about 30-35 minutes, until it is beautifully golden brown.
