A delightful dessert featuring light and airy meringues topped with champagne-infused whipped cream and fresh berries. Preparation Time: 2 hours
Serving Size: 6 servings
Ingredients:
- 4 egg whites
- 250 g sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 200 ml sparkling champagne
- 200 ml heavy cream
- Fresh berries for garnish
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 90°C (194°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Whip the egg whites with salt until stiff peaks form.
3. Gradually add the sugar while continuing to whip until the mixture is glossy and firm.
4. Gently fold in the vanilla sugar.
5. Spoon or pipe the meringue mixture onto the prepared parchment paper in your desired shapes.
6. Bake in the oven for about 1.5 hours until the meringues are dry and crisp.
7. Whip the cream until soft peaks form, then carefully fold in the champagne.
8. Serve the meringues topped with champagne whipped cream and garnish with fresh berries.
