- 600 g beef cubes
- 400 g pork cubes
- 2 medium onions
- 3 medium carrots
- 4 garlic cloves
- 3 dl beef broth
- 2 dl red wine
- 2 tbsp oil
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 tsp thyme
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp flour (optional)
- Fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Peel and chop the onions and carrots.
2. Heat the oil in a large pot and brown the beef and pork cubes until golden brown.
3. Add the onions and garlic to the pot and sauté until they are soft.
4. Add the carrots and mix well.
5. Pour in the beef broth and red wine. Add the bay leaves, thyme, salt, and pepper.
6. Allow to simmer on low heat for about 1.5 hours, until the meat is tender.
7. If you prefer a thicker sauce, mix the flour with a small amount of water and add it to the pot. Let it simmer for an additional 10 minutes.
8. Remove the bay leaves and serve the stew garnished with fresh parsley.
