A traditional Finnish dish that combines beef and pork into a hearty stew, perfect for special occasions or family dinners.
Preparation Time: 3 hours
Serving Size: 6-8 servings

Ingredients:

- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp oil
- 400 g beef, cubed or sliced
- 400 g pork, cubed or sliced
- 2 onions, diced
- 4-5 potatoes, cubed
- 4-5 carrots, sliced
- 1 liter beef broth
- 2-3 bay leaves
- Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

1. Heat the butter and oil in a large pot.
2. Add the beef and pork to the pot and brown them until nicely colored.
3. Add the onions and sauté until they are soft.
4. Add the potatoes and carrots to the pot.
5. Pour the beef broth over the meat and vegetables, and add the bay leaves.
6. Season with salt and pepper.
7. Allow to simmer on low heat for about 2-3 hours, until the meat is tender.
8. Serve warm, ideally with rye bread.
