A comforting Finnish dish made with root vegetables and lean meats, perfect for a cozy meal. Preparation Time: 2 hours

Ingredients:
- 3 medium parsnips
- 0.5 tbsp lean beef and pork stew meat
- 10 whole black peppercorns
- 2 medium carrots
- 2 bay leaves
- 12 potatoes
- 1 large onion
- 0.5 tsp salt
- 0.5 tbsp (10 whole) white peppercorns
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 225°C (437°F).
2. Cut the meat into 2x2 cm cubes, trim visible fat, and rinse.
3. Peel and chop the parsnips, carrots, potatoes, and onion.
4. Place all ingredients in a baking dish, adding the spices and bay leaves.
5. If needed, add water to cover the ingredients.
6. Cover the dish with foil and bake in the oven for about 1.5 hours.
7. Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 30 minutes, until the meat is tender.
8. Serve hot.
