A delicious layered dish combining ground meat, potatoes, and cheese into a comforting oven-baked meal. Preparation Time: 1 hour
Serving Size: 6-8 servings
Ingredients:
- 1 can of cream (not light)- Herbamare seasoning
- White and black pepper
- Ground meat seasoning
- 1 can of three cheese cream
- 12-18 potatoes (depending on size)
- 3 onions
- 800 g ground meat (pork and beef mix)
- 3-5 cloves of garlic
- 1 beef broth cube
- 4 dl water
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit).2. Peel the potatoes and soak them in cold water.
3. Peel and slice the onions and crush the garlic.
4. Brown the ground meat in a pan, then add the onions and garlic. Cook until the onions are soft.
5. Add the beef broth cube and water to the pan. Let the mixture simmer on low heat for a few minutes.
6. Remove the potatoes from the water and slice them into thin rounds.
7. Grease a baking dish and start layering: first a layer of potatoes, then the meat mixture, followed by cream. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used.
8. Pour the three cheese cream on top.
9. Bake in the oven for about 45-60 minutes, until the potatoes are tender and the top is beautifully golden brown.
