Creamy Chicken Mushroom Penne Pasta

A delicious and filling pasta dish that combines chicken, mushrooms, and a creamy sauce for an elevated flavor experience. Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Serving Size: 4 people
Ingredients:
- 300 g penne pasta - 400 g chicken pieces
- 200 ml chicken broth
- 100 ml milk
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp flour
- 250 g mushrooms, sliced
- 50 g grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions:
1. Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions in salted water. Drain and reserve a little cooking water.2. In a large skillet, heat the butter over medium heat. Add the chicken pieces and cook until golden brown and cooked through. Season with salt and pepper. Remove the chicken from the skillet and keep warm.
3. In the same skillet, add the sliced mushrooms and sauté until softened.
4. Sprinkle the flour over the mushrooms and mix well. Gradually add the chicken broth and milk, stirring continuously until the sauce thickens.
5. Add the cooked pasta and chicken back into the sauce. Mix well and add reserved cooking water as needed until the pasta is coated and moist.
6. Remove from heat and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese. Serve immediately.
