Ingredients:
- 300 g pasta (e.g., spaghetti or penne) - 200 ml heavy cream
- 100 g Parmesan cheese (grated)
- 2 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- Fresh basil (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions in a large pot of salted water. Drain and reserve some pasta water. 2. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about a minute until fragrant.
3. Pour in the heavy cream and mix well. Let the sauce simmer on low heat for about 5 minutes.
4. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted. If the sauce is too thick, add a bit of reserved pasta water to reach desired consistency.
5. Combine the cooked pasta with the sauce and season with salt and black pepper.
6. Serve the pasta topped with fresh basil leaves.
