A delicious and moist fish cake, perfect as an appetizer or main dish. Preparation time is about 30 minutes and the recipe serves 4.Ingredients
- 2 egg whites- 50 g butter
- ½ dl breadcrumbs
- White pepper to taste
- 400 g pike, rainbow trout, or cod fillets
- 1 onion
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1.5 dl sour cream
Instructions
1. Place the onion and the cleaned, boneless fish fillets into a food processor and grind them into a smooth mixture.2. Mix the breadcrumbs and sour cream together and let them soak for a moment.
3. Add the egg whites, salt, white pepper, egg yolks, and lemon juice to the fish mixture. Mix well.
4. Incorporate the soaked breadcrumbs and sour cream into the fish mixture and stir until smooth.
5. Grease a baking dish with butter and pour the fish mixture into it.
6. Bake at 180°C (350°F) for about 25-30 minutes or until the top is beautifully golden brown.
