A delicious and filling dish that combines pasta with savory mushrooms in a creamy sauce. Perfect for a weekday meal or a weekend treat. Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Serving Size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 300 g pasta (e.g., penne or spaghetti)- 200 g fresh mushrooms (e.g., button or chanterelles)
- 200 ml heavy cream
- 1 onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 50 g Parmesan cheese (grated)
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta in salted water according to package instructions. Drain and reserve a little pasta water.2. Chop the onion and garlic. Slice the mushrooms.
3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, and sauté for about 3 minutes until softened.
4. Add the mushrooms to the skillet and cook for about 5–7 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
5. Pour the cream over the mushroom mixture and stir well. Let the sauce simmer on low heat for about 5 minutes. Season with salt and black pepper.
6. Mix the cooked pasta into the sauce. Add a little reserved pasta water if the sauce is too thick.
7. Grate Parmesan cheese over the pasta and stir. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
