Ingredients:

- 400 g crushed tomatoes
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions:

1. Heat the olive oil in a pot over medium heat.
2. Add the chopped onion and sauté until soft and translucent (about 5 minutes).
3. Add the crushed garlic and sauté for an additional minute.
4. Pour in the crushed tomatoes and mix well.
5. Add sugar, balsamic vinegar, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine.
6. Let the sauce simmer over low heat for about 20 minutes until slightly thickened.
7. Serve over pasta or on pizza. Garnish with fresh basil.
