A quick and delicious weeknight meal, this pasta dish combines savory bacon with nutritious peas and is ready in no time! Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Serving Size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 2 servings of marinara sauce
- 1 package of frozen peas
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 package of organic bacon, diced
- 350 g whole wheat pasta
- Oil for frying
- Grated Parmesan cheese for serving
Instructions:
1. Prepare the marinara sauce according to the package instructions or use a ready-made sauce.
2. Cook the whole wheat pasta according to the package directions, then drain.
3. In a hot pan, sauté the diced bacon in a splash of oil until crispy.
4. Add the chopped onion and frozen peas to the pan. Cook until the onion is soft.
5. Combine the prepared marinara sauce with the bacon and pea mixture.
6. Add the cooked pasta and mix well.
7. Serve the dish topped with grated Parmesan cheese, and optionally add black pepper and fresh rosemary.
