Ingredients

- 8 slices of sourdough or French bread
- 300 ml milk
- 1 tsp all-purpose flour
- 1 egg
- Margarine for frying
- Fruit puree (rhubarb, apple, or other) for topping

Instructions

1. Crack the egg into a bowl and add the milk and flour. Mix until smooth.
2. Heat a frying pan and add margarine.
3. Dip the bread slices into the egg-milk mixture, ensuring they soak up the liquid.
4. Fry the bread slices in the pan until golden brown on both sides.
5. Serve warm with fruit puree on top.
