Ingredients:
- 100 g butter
- 200 g coarse wheat flour
- 150 g cheese (e.g., cheddar or emmental)
- 1 egg yolk
- Salt to taste
Instructions:
1. Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat and let it cool slightly.
2. Grate the cheese finely and combine it in a bowl with the coarse wheat flour.
3. Pour the melted butter into the flour and cheese mixture, and mix well.
4. Add the egg yolk and salt, then knead the dough by hand until smooth.
5. Divide the dough into small pieces and shape them into thin sticks.
6. Place the sticks on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
7. Bake at 200°C (392°F) for about 15-20 minutes or until the sticks are golden and crisp.
8. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
