A delicious cheese sauce that perfectly combines white wine and flavorful cheese. It pairs wonderfully with pork or salmon. Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Serving Size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 2 dl white wine
- 200 g cheese (e.g., Appenzeller or Gouda)
- 1 dl cream
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
2. Add the all-purpose flour and stir until the mixture is smooth.
3. Pour in the white wine and mix well. Let it simmer over low heat for about 5 minutes, until the mixture thickens slightly.
4. Add the cream and stir to combine.
5. Grate the cheese and add it to the sauce. Stir until the cheese is fully melted and the sauce is creamy.
6. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Serve immediately.
