A festive gingerbread cookie that brings warmth and joy during the Christmas season. Preparation Time: 1 hour
Serving Size: About 30 cookies
Ingredients:
- 200 g butter
- 1 dl sugar
- 1 dl syrup
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp ginger
- 1 tsp cloves
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 5 dl all-purpose flour
Instructions:
1. Melt the butter in a saucepan and add sugar and syrup. Heat the mixture until the sugar is dissolved.
2. Stir in the spices and mix well.
3. Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the mixture cool slightly.
4. Gradually mix in the baking soda and flour until the dough is smooth.
5. Cover the dough with plastic wrap and let it rest in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
6. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 5 mm thick.
7. Cut out cookies in your desired shapes and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
8. Bake the cookies at 175°C (350°F) for about 8-10 minutes or until they are beautifully golden brown.
9. Allow the cookies to cool before decorating.
