A festive dessert featuring a spiced gingerbread crust topped with a creamy cheese filling and fresh lingonberries.
Preparation Time: 20 minutes (plus chilling time)
Serving Size: 8 servings
Ingredients:
- 200 g gingerbread cookies
- 100 g butter
- 300 g plain cream cheese
- 100 g powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- 1 dl heavy cream
- 150 g lingonberries (fresh or frozen)
- 50 g almond flakes (for decoration)
Instructions:
1. Crumble the gingerbread cookies finely and mix with melted butter. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a pie dish and refrigerate to set.
2. In a bowl, beat together the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla sugar until smooth.
3. Whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form, then gently fold it into the cream cheese mixture.
4. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the gingerbread crust.
5. Top with lingonberries and sprinkle almond flakes on top for decoration.
6. Allow the dessert to chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, before serving.
7. Cut into slices and enjoy this festive treat!
