Delicious Christmas pastries that bring festive cheer and delightful moments.
Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Serving Size: 12 pastries
Ingredients:
- 1 package of puff pastry
- 1 jar of plum jam
- 1 egg (for brushing)
- Powdered sugar (for decoration)
- Cinnamon (optional)
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
2. Roll out the puff pastry and cut it into squares (about 10x10 cm).
3. Make a small cut from the center to each corner of the square, but do not cut all the way to the edges.
4. Place about a teaspoon of plum jam in the center of each square.
5. Fold the corners toward the center so that the jam remains visible.
6. Brush the pastries with the beaten egg.
7. Bake in the oven for about 15-20 minutes or until the pastries are beautifully golden brown.
8. Allow to cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar and cinnamon before serving.
