Serving Size: 1 loaf or 8 small rolls
Ingredients:
- 270 g all-purpose flour - 130 ml milk
- 1 egg
- 60 g butter
- 30 g sugar
- 15 g yeast
- 6 g salt
- (optional: 4 g gluten)
- For topping: egg wash and sesame seeds
Instructions:
1. In a mixing bowl, combine all ingredients except for the butter. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until it starts to come together.2. Gradually add the butter in four parts, kneading for an additional 10 minutes until fully incorporated.
3. Let the dough rest in a cool place for about one hour.
4. Shape the dough into a loaf or small rolls, working quickly to prevent the dough from becoming too warm.
5. Place the shaped dough in the fridge for another hour.
6. Bake the brioche in a preheated oven at 200°C (390°F) until golden brown. Keep an eye on it and adjust the oven temperature if necessary.
