Ingredients:
- 1 package (275 g) ready-made pie crust
- 5-6 large onions
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 dl beer
- 2 dl heavy cream
- 3 eggs
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 dl grated cheese (e.g., Emmental)
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (390°F).
2. Roll out the pie crust and press it into a pie dish. Poke holes in the bottom with a fork.
3. Peel and slice the onions. Sauté them in butter over medium heat until they are soft and golden.
4. Add the beer to the pan and cook until the liquid has evaporated.
5. In a bowl, mix together the cream, eggs, salt, and black pepper. Stir in the onion mixture.
6. Pour the filling over the pie crust and sprinkle the grated cheese on top.
7. Bake in the oven for about 30-40 minutes, until the pie is beautifully golden brown.
8. Allow the pie to cool slightly before serving. It can be enjoyed warm or cold from the refrigerator.
