Ingredients
Meringue Layers: - 5 egg whites
- 1 ¼ cups sugar
- 4 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla sugar
Dumle-Fluffy Filling:
- 1 ¼ cups heavy cream
- 7 oz Dumle candies
- 3.5 oz cream cheese
- 1 teaspoon vanilla sugar
Instructions
1. Prepare Meringue Layers: - Preheat the oven to 100°C (212°F).
- Whip the egg whites to stiff peaks. Gradually add sugar while continuing to whip until the mixture is glossy and firm.
- Gently fold in cornstarch, baking powder, and vanilla sugar into the meringue mixture.
- Spread the meringue mixture onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, forming three circles. Bake in the oven for about 1.5 hours, or until the meringues are dry. Allow to cool.
2. Make Dumle-Fluffy Filling:
- Melt the Dumle candies in a saucepan over low heat. Let cool.
- Whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Add cream cheese, vanilla sugar, and melted Dumle.
- Gently fold the mixture together to maintain its fluffiness.
3. Assemble the Cake:
- Place one meringue layer on a serving platter. Spread a layer of Dumle-Fluffy filling on top. Add another meringue layer and repeat the process. Top with the final meringue layer.
- Cover the cake with plastic wrap and freeze for at least 4 hours or overnight.
4. Serve:
- Remove the cake from the freezer and allow it to thaw slightly before serving. Optionally, decorate with chocolate sauce or whipped cream.
