A decadent chocolate custard dessert made with Dumle candies.
Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Servings: 4
Ingredients:
- 200 g Dumle candies
- 2 dl heavy cream
- 2 dl milk
- 3 egg yolks
- 1/2 dl sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- A pinch of salt
Instructions:
1. In a saucepan, melt the Dumle candies together with the heavy cream and milk over low heat until the mixture is smooth and homogeneous.
2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg yolks, sugar, vanilla sugar, and salt until well combined.
3. Gradually pour the warm Dumle mixture into the egg yolk mixture in a thin stream, stirring constantly to prevent the yolks from cooking.
4. Return the mixture to the saucepan and heat over low heat, stirring constantly until it thickens (approximately 80 °C).
5. Pour the mixture into serving bowls and let it cool at room temperature. Cover the bowls with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
6. Serve with whipped cream or additional Dumle candies as a garnish, if desired.
