Ingredients:
- 1 tbsp syrup - ¼ tsp nutmeg
- 2 cups milk
- 2 tsp salt
- 3.5 oz margarine
- 2.2 lbs starchy potatoes
- all-purpose flour (as needed)
Instructions:
1. Boil the potatoes in unsalted water until tender.2. Peel the hot potatoes and mash them using an electric mixer.
3. Mix syrup, nutmeg, salt, and all-purpose flour into the potato mash as needed.
4. Cover the mixture and let it ferment in a warm place for several hours or overnight.
5. Add milk and melted margarine to the fermented mixture.
6. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 1 hour, until the top is beautifully golden brown.
