Serving Size: 6-8 servings
Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon syrup
- 3-4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 dl milk
- 2 dl potato cooking water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ dl melted butter
- 1.5 kg starchy potatoes
Instructions:
1. Peel the potatoes and boil them in unsalted water until tender.
2. Reserve about 2 dl of the cooking water.
3. Mash the cooked potatoes until smooth.
4. Mix the flour and syrup into the potato mash.
5. Gradually add the reserved cooking water and stir until the mixture is smooth.
6. Finally, add the milk and melted butter, ensuring the mixture is not hotter than 65 degrees Celsius.
7. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and bake at 175 degrees Celsius for about 1 hour or until the top is beautifully browned.
