A delicious and nutritious beef jerky that makes a perfect snack, reminiscent of spring rains and sunshine. Preparation Time: 24 hours
Serving Size: Approximately 500 grams
Ingredients:
- 1 kg beef roast
- 100 ml soy sauce
- 50 ml Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
Instructions:
1. Slice the beef roast into thin strips, about 0.5 cm thick.
2. In a bowl, mix together the soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, honey, and spices.
3. Add the beef strips to the marinade and stir well to coat the meat evenly. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
4. Remove the meat from the marinade and drain off any excess liquid.
5. Pat the beef strips dry with a paper towel and arrange them evenly in a dehydrator.
6. Dehydrate the meat at a temperature of 70-75 °C for about 6-8 hours, until fully dry and chewy.
7. Allow the jerky to cool before storing it in an airtight container.
