A delicious beef jerky recipe that combines the unique flavor of Dr Pepper with spices, perfect for winter snacking.
Preparation Time: 2 hours + marinating time
Serving Size: Approximately 500 g

Ingredients:

- ½ liter Dr Pepper (not sugar-free)
- 0-2 jalapeños (fresh, pickled, or smoked)
- 2 tablespoons salt
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 teaspoons black pepper
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Approximately 500 g beef (e.g., round roast)

Instructions:

1. Slice the jalapeños and combine all marinade ingredients in a large bowl.
2. Bring the marinade to a boil, stirring for about 15 minutes until it reduces by half and reaches a syrupy consistency. Allow the marinade to cool.
3. Cut the beef into thin slices, about a few millimeters thick.
4. Place the beef slices and cooled marinade in a suitable container or bag and marinate in the refrigerator for at least a couple of hours, preferably overnight.
5. Arrange the marinated beef on the dehydrator trays.
6. Dehydrate the beef using a dehydrator, or smoke it at 50-80°C (120-175°F) in a conventional oven until completely dry.
