A delicious and simple appetizer featuring Manchego cheese marinated in honey, brandy, and star anise.
Preparation Time: 24 hours (plus 15 minutes active time)
Serving Size: 4-6 servings
Ingredients:
- 250 g Manchego cheese
- ¼ dl honey
- ¼ dl brandy
- 1 tsp ground star anise
- Star anise for garnish
Instructions:
1. Cut the Manchego cheese into bite-sized pieces and place them in a sealed jar.
2. In a bowl, mix together the honey, brandy, and ground star anise. Pour this mixture over the cheese in the jar.
3. Add star anise as a garnish into the jar.
4. Seal the jar tightly, turn it upside down, and let it marinate in the refrigerator for about 24 hours.
5. Serve the marinated cheese as tapas alongside marinated olives and Serrano ham.
