A comforting Finnish macaroni casserole with ground meat and a creamy milk base.
Preparation Time: 1 hour
Serving Size: 6 servings
Ingredients:
- 5 dl macaroni
- 2 L water
- 700 g ground beef
- 2 onions
- 1 clove garlic
- 7 dl milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Butter for frying
Instructions:
1. Boil the macaroni in salted water according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
2. Peel and finely chop the onions and garlic.
3. Heat butter in a pan and sauté the onions until soft.
4. Add ground beef to the pan and cook until browned. Season with salt and pepper.
5. Mix the cooked macaroni with the ground beef and onion mixture.
6. Pour the milk into the mixture and stir well.
7. Grease a baking dish and pour the macaroni mixture into it.
8. Bake at 200°C (392°F) for about 30-40 minutes until the top is golden brown.
9. Let it cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
