Delicious Ham and Cheese Sandwiches

A quick and tasty snack perfect for any occasion.
Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Serving Size: 4 sandwiches

Ingredients:

- 4 slices of white bread
- 4 slices of ham
- 4 slices of cheese (such as Emmental or Cheddar)
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 1 tablespoon of mustard (optional)
- Fresh herbs (such as parsley or basil, chopped, optional)

Instructions:

1. Spread butter on the outside of each slice of bread.
2. Place one slice of bread butter-side down in a frying pan.
3. If desired, spread mustard on top of the bread slice.
4. Layer ham and cheese slices on top of the bread.
5. Cover with another slice of bread, butter-side up.
6. Cook on medium heat for about 3-4 minutes until golden brown and the cheese melts.
7. Carefully flip the sandwich and cook the other side for an additional 3-4 minutes.
8. Remove the sandwich from the pan and cut it in half.
9. If desired, garnish with fresh herbs and serve immediately.
