Venison Meatballs with Pumpkin Mash

Serving Size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 500 g ground venison
- 1 dl breadcrumbs
- 1 dl milk
- 1 onion
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 500 g pumpkin
- 2 dl cream
- Pickles (for serving)
- Lingonberries (for serving)
Instructions:
1. Peel and chop the onion. Sauté the onion in a pan until soft.
2. In a bowl, mix the ground venison, breadcrumbs, milk, sautéed onion, egg, salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika. Shape the mixture into round meatballs.
3. Cook the venison meatballs in a pan until they are nicely browned and cooked through.
4. Peel and chop the pumpkin. Boil the pumpkin pieces in water until soft.
5. Drain the water from the pumpkin and mash it. Stir in the cream to make it smooth.
6. Serve the venison meatballs with pumpkin mash on the side. Add pickles and lingonberries for garnish.
