A delicious falafel burger perfect for vegetarians and anyone who loves flavorful plant-based dishes. Crispy falafels combined with fresh vegetables and a juicy sauce create a true taste experience. Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Serving Size: 4 burgers
Ingredients:
- 400 g chickpeas (cooked or soaked and boiled)
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 dl parsley, chopped
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp coriander
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1/2 dl oil for frying
- 4 burger buns
- Lettuce, tomato, and cucumber for toppings
- Sour cream or tahini sauce
Instructions:
1. Rinse the chickpeas and place them in a bowl. Mash them with a fork or use an immersion blender.
2. Add the chopped onion, crushed garlic, parsley, cumin, coriander, salt, black pepper, and flour to the mashed chickpeas. Mix well.
3. Form the mixture into round patties.
4. Heat the oil in a frying pan over medium heat and fry the falafel patties for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
5. Lightly toast the burger buns.
6. Assemble the burgers: place lettuce on the bottom bun, add a falafel patty, sliced tomatoes, cucumbers, and drizzle with sauce.
7. Add the top bun and serve immediately.
