Ingredients:
- 500 g chicken breast fillets - 1 dl milk
- 1 egg
- 1 dl all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 4 waffles (store-bought or homemade)
- 2 tbsp butter
- Maple syrup for serving
- Fresh berries (e.g., strawberries or blueberries) for garnish
Instructions:
1. Prepare the marinade by mixing the milk and egg in a bowl. Add the chicken breast fillets to the marinade and let them marinate for about 30 minutes.2. In another bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper.
3. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Remove the chicken from the marinade and dredge it in the seasoned flour mixture.
4. Fry the chicken fillets in the pan for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.
5. Prepare the waffles according to the package instructions or your recipe. You can warm the waffles in the pan with butter for a beautiful color.
6. Serve the warm waffles topped with crispy chicken, drizzled with maple syrup, and garnish with fresh berries.
