A comforting and hearty dish made with layers of cabbage, rice, and ground meat. Perfect for family dinners!
Preparation Time: 1 hour
Serving Size: 4-6 servings
Ingredients:
- 1/2 large cabbage
- 2 dl rice
- 1 packet ground meat (beef or pork)
- 1 large onion
- 2 dl dark soy protein
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 2 dl water
- 1 dl cooking cream (optional)
Instructions:
1. Peel and chop the onion into small pieces.
2. Heat a frying pan and brown the ground meat together with the onion.
3. Cook the rice according to package instructions.
4. Finely chop the cabbage and blanch it in boiling water for about 5 minutes.
5. In a bowl, mix the cooked ground meat, rice, soy protein, salt, black pepper, and cooking cream if using.
6. Grease a baking dish and place the cabbage pieces at the bottom.
7. Pour the meat and rice mixture over the cabbage.
8. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake at 180°C (350°F) for about 30-40 minutes.
9. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the top is nicely browned.
10. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
