Delicious rolls and cheese sticks perfect for breakfast or a snack. Preparation Time: Over 60 min
Serving Size: About 20 rolls and 30 cheese sticks
Ingredients:
- 1 liter milk - 50 g fresh yeast
- 100 ml sugar
- 100 ml rapeseed oil
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 kg wheat flour
- 200 g cheese (e.g., Emmental or Cheddar)
- 1 egg (for brushing)
Instructions:
1. Warm the milk until it's lukewarm and dissolve the fresh yeast in it. 2. Add sugar, rapeseed oil, and salt. Mix well.
3. Gradually add the wheat flour until the dough begins to pull away from the sides of the bowl.
4. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until it is smooth and elastic.
5. Cover the dough with a cloth and let it rise in a warm place for about 30-45 minutes.
6. Once the dough has risen, divide it into two parts. Shape the first part into rolls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
7. Shape the second part into cheese sticks: roll out the dough into a flat sheet, sprinkle with grated cheese, fold it over, and cut into strips.
8. Brush the rolls and cheese sticks with the beaten egg.
9. Allow them to rise for another 15-20 minutes.
10. Bake at 200°C (about 400°F) for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
