A deliciously rich cake with a creamy white chocolate topping. Preparation time: 40 minutes
Serving size: 8 servings
Ingredients:
- 200 g dark chocolate
- 100 g butter
- 150 g sugar
- 3 eggs
- 100 g all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 100 g white chocolate
- 2 tbsp milk
- A pinch of salt
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease a cake pan.
2. Melt the dark chocolate and butter together in a saucepan over low heat. Stir until smooth.
3. Add the sugar to the melted chocolate mixture and mix well.
4. Incorporate the eggs one at a time, mixing after each addition.
5. Sift the flour, baking powder, and salt into the mixture. Gently fold to combine.
6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake in the oven for about 25-30 minutes.
7. Allow the cake to cool in the pan before inverting it onto a plate.
8. Melt the white chocolate and milk in a saucepan. Pour the melted white chocolate mixture over the cooled cake.
9. Optionally, decorate with berries or nuts and serve.
