Serving Size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 400 g ground beef
- 1 dl breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp paprika powder
- 4 hamburger buns
- 4 slices of cheddar cheese
- 1 tomato, sliced
- 1 lettuce leaf
- 1/2 red onion, sliced
- Ketchup and mustard, to taste
Instructions:
1. In a bowl, mix together the ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, salt, black pepper, and paprika powder. Knead the mixture by hand until smooth.
2. Shape the mixture into four patties.
3. Heat a frying pan over medium heat and cook the patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side until cooked through.
4. Add the cheese slices on top of the patties during the last few minutes of cooking to melt.
5. Lightly toast the hamburger buns in the pan.
6. Assemble the burgers: place a lettuce leaf on the bottom bun, add the patty with melted cheese, top with tomato slices, red onion, and your choice of sauces.
7. Add the top bun and serve immediately.
