A refreshing gin and tonic sorbet that combines the zesty flavor of lemon with the crispness of tonic water. Perfect for enjoying on a summer day. Preparation Time: 1 hour 15 minutes (including chilling time)
Serving Size: 4-6 servings
Ingredients:
- 2 lemons
- 2 dl tonic water
- 1 egg white
- 0.5 dl gin
- 1.5 dl sugar
Instructions:
1. Heat the tonic water in a saucepan and dissolve the sugar in it.
2. Allow the mixture to cool.
3. Squeeze the juice from the lemons and add it to the cooled tonic water and sugar mixture.
4. Stir in the gin and mix well.
5. Whip the egg white until soft peaks form, then gently fold it into the mixture.
6. Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn for about 45 minutes, until the sorbet reaches the desired consistency.
7. Serve garnished with grated lemon zest.
