A refreshing and healthy sorbet that combines the flavors of orange and raspberry. This treat is perfect as a dessert after dinner. Preparation Time: 10 minutes + freezing time
Serving Size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 2 cups fresh or frozen raspberries
- 2 oranges (juice and zest)
- 1 tablespoon lemon balm leaves (fresh or dried)
- 1-2 tablespoons coconut sugar or other low glycemic sweetener (to taste)
- 1 cup water
Instructions:
1. Squeeze the juice from the oranges and zest their peels.
2. In a blender, combine raspberries, orange juice, orange zest, lemon balm, and water until smooth.
3. Sweeten the mixture with coconut sugar and blend again until well combined.
4. Pour the mixture into a freezer-safe container and place it in the freezer.
5. Allow the sorbet to freeze for at least 4 hours or until completely firm.
6. Before serving, transfer the sorbet to the refrigerator for about 15-30 minutes to soften slightly, and serve in bowls.
