Ingredients:

- 300 g pasta (e.g., tagliatelle or spaghetti)
- 200 g fresh mushrooms (e.g., button mushrooms or chanterelles)
- 200 ml heavy cream
- 1 onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 2 tbsp butter
- 100 g grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions:

1. Cook the pasta in salted water according to package instructions. Drain and reserve a bit of the cooking water.
2. Chop the onion and garlic. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat and add the chopped onion. Sauté until soft.
3. Add the chopped mushrooms to the skillet and cook until they are nicely browned.
4. Pour the cream into the skillet with the mushrooms and stir. Let it simmer on low heat for about 5 minutes.
5. Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and mix well. If the sauce is too thick, add a little reserved cooking water.
6. Season with salt and black pepper. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and combined.
7. Serve the pasta garnished with fresh parsley.
