These delicious gluten-free donut rings are a perfect choice for a festive treat! The donuts are soft and fluffy, and they are easy to make in your home kitchen.

Ingredients:

- 1 ¼ cups milk or water
- ½ block of yeast
- 2 tsp psyllium husk
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 egg
- ½ tbsp cardamom
- 2 ¾ cups gluten-free flour blend
- ½ tsp xanthan gum
- 3.5 tbsp soft butter or margarine

Instructions:

1. Warm the milk or water and dissolve the yeast in it. Add the psyllium husk and let it sit for a moment to thicken.
2. Mix in the salt, sugar, egg, and cardamom into the mixture.
3. Combine the xanthan gum with the flour and add more than half of the flour to the mixture, kneading continuously.
4. Add the soft butter and the remaining flour. Knead the dough with a machine for about 3-5 minutes.
5. Shape the dough into about 12 equal-sized pieces. Roll each piece into a ball and create a hole in the center.
6. Place the donut rings on a baking cloth or parchment paper on a baking tray.
7. Put the tray in an oven preheated to about 104°F (40°C) with a pot of boiling water at the bottom. Let the donuts rise in the steam for about 30 minutes.
8. Fry the donuts in hot oil until golden brown.
