Ingredients:
- 4 large bell peppers (red or yellow)
- 300 g ground beef (or chicken)
- 1 cup rice
- 1 onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 can crushed tomatoes (400 g)
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup shredded cheese (e.g., mozzarella or cheddar)
- 2 tbsp oil
Instructions:
1. Cook the rice according to package instructions.
2. Rinse the bell peppers, cut off the tops, and remove the seeds.
3. Heat the oil in a pan and sauté the chopped onion and garlic.
4. Add the ground meat to the pan and cook until browned.
5. Stir in the cooked rice, crushed tomatoes, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
6. Stuff the peppers with the prepared filling and place them in a baking dish.
7. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top of the stuffed peppers.
8. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 25-30 minutes, until the peppers are tender and the cheese is melted.
