Delicious Creamy Potatoes

Ingredients:
- 1 kg potatoes
- 2 dl cream
- 1 dl milk
- 2 garlic cloves
- 100 g cheese (e.g., Emmental or mozzarella)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- Butter for greasing the dish
- Fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Peel and slice the potatoes into thin rounds.
2. Peel and finely chop the garlic cloves.
3. In a bowl, mix the cream, milk, garlic, salt, black pepper, and nutmeg.
4. Grease a baking dish with butter.
5. Layer half of the potato slices in the dish.
6. Pour half of the cream mixture over the potatoes.
7. Grate half of the cheese on top of the potatoes.
8. Add the remaining potato slices and pour the rest of the cream mixture over them.
9. Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top.
10. Cover the dish with foil and bake at 180°C (350°F) for about 45 minutes.
11. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until the top is beautifully golden brown.
12. Allow to cool for a moment before serving and garnish with fresh parsley.
