Ingredients:
- 300 g pasta (e.g., spaghetti or fusilli)
- 200 g fresh broccoli
- 200 ml heavy cream
- 100 ml grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions in salted water. Add the broccoli to the pasta for the last 3-4 minutes of cooking to ensure they are tender.
2. Drain the pasta and broccoli, reserving a little pasta water.
3. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant and soft.
4. Pour in the heavy cream and mix well. Let it simmer on low heat for about 5 minutes.
5. Add the drained pasta and broccoli to the skillet. Mix thoroughly and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese. If the mixture seems too dry, add a little reserved pasta water.
6. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh basil if desired.
