- 800 g potatoes
- 2 dl cream
- 1 dl milk
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 100 g cheese (e.g., Emmental or mozzarella), grated
- Fresh herbs (e.g., parsley or thyme) for garnish
Instructions:
1. Peel and slice the potatoes into thin rounds.
2. Grease a baking dish and layer the potato slices at the bottom.
3. In a bowl, mix together the cream, milk, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper.
4. Pour the cream mixture over the layered potatoes, ensuring they are well covered.
5. Sprinkle the grated cheese on top.
6. Cover the dish with foil and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 40 minutes.
7. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the top is beautifully golden brown.
8. Let it rest for a moment before serving. Garnish with fresh herbs.
