A delicious French pastry that combines the sweetness of brioche bread with butter and sugar. Perfect for sharing with friends.
Preparation Time: 2 hours (including rising time)
Serving Size: 8-10 servings

Ingredients:

- 500 g all-purpose flour
- 150 g sugar
- 200 g butter (softened)
- 100 ml milk (warm)
- 3 eggs
- 25 g fresh yeast or 7 g dry yeast
- 1 tsp salt
- Vanilla sugar to taste

Instructions:

1. Dissolve the yeast in warm milk and add 1 tablespoon of sugar. Let it sit for about 10 minutes until bubbly.
2. In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar, salt, and vanilla sugar.
3. Add the softened butter and eggs to the flour mixture. Mix well.
4. Pour the yeast mixture into the dough and knead for about 10 minutes until elastic.
5. Cover the dough with a cloth and let it rise in a warm place for about 1-1.5 hours, or until doubled in size.
6. Roll the dough into a 1-2 cm thick sheet and cut into desired shapes.
7. Place the pastries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
8. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
9. Serve warm, optionally with butter and sugar.
