- 4 whole grain breads
- 200 g chicken fillet
- 100 g lettuce
- 1 tomato
- 1 avocado
- 50 g cheese (e.g., cheddar)
- 4 tbsp hummus
- 1 cucumber
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 servings of fruit (e.g., apples or bananas)
Instructions:
1. Cook the chicken fillets in a pan, seasoning with salt and pepper. Allow to cool and slice.
2. Slice the tomato, avocado, and cucumber.
3. Spread hummus on each piece of bread.
4. Layer the bread with lettuce, chicken, tomato, avocado, and cheese.
5. Assemble the sandwiches and pack them for the picnic.
6. Bring the fruit along to enjoy outdoors at the playground.
