A warm and flavorful cheese fondue perfect for social gatherings on cold winter nights. Easy to prepare and great for sharing with friends. Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Serving Size: Serves 4-6
Ingredients:
- 200 g Emmental cheese- 200 g Gruyère cheese
- 1 dl white wine
- 1 garlic clove
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- Black pepper to taste
- Cubed bread for serving
- (optional) fresh vegetables like bell peppers or cucumbers
Instructions:
1. Grate the Emmental and Gruyère cheeses.2. Rub the inside of a fondue pot with the garlic clove, then discard the garlic.
3. Pour the wine into the pot and heat it over low heat.
4. Gradually add the grated cheese to the wine, stirring continuously until melted and smooth.
5. Stir in the lemon juice and cornstarch, mixing well.
6. Season with black pepper and heat the mixture for a moment until hot but not boiling.
7. Serve in the fondue pot and enjoy with cubed bread and vegetables.
