Serving Size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 300 g pasta (e.g., spaghetti or penne) - 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 garlic cloves (minced)
- 400 g crushed tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 50 g Parmesan cheese (grated)
- Fresh basil for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta in salted water according to package instructions. Drain the pasta. 2. Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about one minute.
3. Add the crushed tomatoes to the pan and season with salt, black pepper, and dried basil. Let the sauce simmer on low heat for about 5 minutes.
4. Mix the cooked pasta into the sauce and allow it to warm through.
5. Serve the pasta topped with grated Parmesan cheese and fresh basil if desired.
