Ingredients:
- 1 fresh pineapple
- 1 tablespoon water
- 3 tablespoons cane sugar
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 2 tablespoons rum
- Vanilla ice cream for serving
Instructions:
1. Peel the pineapple and cut it in half.
2. Remove the tough core and slice the fruit into rings.
3. In a skillet, melt the cane sugar and water over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.
4. Add the butter to the skillet and stir until it combines with the sugar mixture.
5. Place the pineapple slices in the skillet and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
6. Pour the rum over the pineapple and cook for an additional minute to allow the alcohol to evaporate.
7. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream on the side.
